On a business ethics level, I specifically asked about a fee I did not understand and was lied to and led to believe I could avoid the fee by following through with my cancellation. Legally, I signed paperwork that makes me liable for paying this. For a place that claims to have a "no non-sense" contract, I certainly feel as though this is some non-sense. He told me I was done talking and I could leave now to end the conversation. ©var dnew Date() yrd.getFullYear() document.write(+yr) Anytime Fitness Franchisor, LLC. I asked about the other owner, Duane or Dwayne, and Josh told me that he does nothing with the computer so he won't contact me. He made me aware that the woman I turned my cancellation notice into was one of the owners and if someone were to contact me it'd be her. When I went in, Josh, a trainer and employee claimed no other manager was available, but insisted on assisting me with my problem. I then called around July 23 and asked if a manager would be there about 4 pm so I could follow up on this. So, I waited several days again and never heard back. She told me that the girl who signed me up was supposed to call me back. About a week later I had heard nothing back from her or the owner so I seen her again and asked about it. I asked her to have an owner get in contact with me about fixing this since I was lied to by one of their employees. The women who I turned my notice in to made me aware that regardless of what I was told I would be charged the $30 fee because it is in the contract. My membership started May 22 and I turned in my written notice on July 10. I was told as long as I gave a 30 day written notice of cancellation I "should" not be charged this. I finally asked about the $30 "rate lock guarantee fee" and if I could avoid this since I only want to join for the 3 months. The employee kept the screen faced away from me as she asked me to sign the paperwork. I went to sign up and made myself clear that I only needed a membership for the 3 months. I moved home for the Summer in May and my brother was already a member at this gym.
